Meet the Team
Tracy is originally from Atlanta, GA & graduated from Auburn University. War Eagle! Although she majored in Broadcast Journalism, she decided to follow her passion and join her mom in her business, Just the Thing, shortly after graduating. Upon getting married and moving to Columbia, Tracy opened their first brick and mortar store in 2002 on Devine Street. She has lived in Columbia, SC for 24 years with her husband Brad and their teenage twins, son Jackson & daughter Sullivan. While being a working mom is never easy, she loves what she does and credits her awesome staff over the years for making things fun! When not working, Tracy enjoys lying by the pool, reading books, traveling with family and playing with her 2 year old Shih-Poo, Winnie. Tracy’s favorite food is Mexican and her drink of choice is Rosé.

A true South Carolina native, Erin was born and raised in Florence, SC. She graduated from The College of Charleston with a nursing degree. While in Charleston, Erin worked several years at a gift boutique, which sparked her interest in retail. She loves working with customers and the customers love her. Erin and her husband, David, have now lived in Columbia for 18 years and she has been with JTT ever since. As operations manager, she is Tracy’s “right hand woman”. Erin and David have a 13 year old daughter, Parks. In her spare time, Erin loves to spend time with her family, go to the beach and cheer on the Gamecocks. Fun fact about Erin: she has spent her life dancing and later became a competitive shag dancer.

Mary Evelyn is “Louisiana Born & South Carolina raised”. She spent the majority of her life in Columbia and attended The University of South Carolina. Before graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising, Mary Evelyn attended the London College of Fashion where she was able to advance her knowledge of the industry. Mary Evelyn joined Just the Thing in 2018 after working part time with us for a year. After years as our inventory manager, she now oversees our website and has continued to grow it since the pandemic. Mary Evelyn is a newlywed to her husband, Hunter. They are expecting their first child, a daughter, later this year. Some of her favorite things include Diet Coke, cooking and Harry Styles.

Born in Clearwater, FL, Madeline has spent most of her life in Columbia SC. She recently received her Fashion Merchandising degree from the University of South Carolina, while also working part time at JTT. Madeline shows her creative and artistic side at work as our Social Media and Marketing Manager. Outside of work, Madeline is an amazing singer and performs with her boyfriend, Brooks, in their band “His and Hers”. They share a fur baby, a golden retriever named Cooper. Some of her favorite hobbies include, playing pickleball, golf and hanging out with friends and family. Her guilty pleasure is chips and queso.

Originally from Nashville, TN, Mia is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and an active Alum of ADPi. As an Economics major with a double minor in Business Administration and PR/Advertising, Mia worked part time at Just the Thing for 3 years in college. Before graduating, she accepted a full time position as Inventory Manager. Mia handles all incoming merchandise, processing & returns. She also manages our backroom staff and interns. Mia is a proud first generation American who in her spare time, enjoys the beach, cheering on the Gamecocks and Tennessee Titans, as well as hanging out with her 3 year old rescue, Izzy. Mia is as sweet as Tennessee Whiskey, which just happens to be her favorite cocktail.
